2000 |
Modifying
this option will activate or deactivate support for Microsoft's FrontPage
2000 extensions. FrontPage is a popular site management package, however,
its design may cause conflict with other open standards. In particular,
Microsoft uses .htaccess files differently than standard site security.
While this causes no problems when only using FrontPage to manage your site,
switching between FrontPage and standard site security cam cause problems
with FrontPage, and may even cause FrontPage to completely fail. ControlPoint
will recognize whenever you try to use both FrontPage and standard site
security, and display appropriate warning messages.
If you do need to utilize both FrontPage and standard site security to achieve
your goals, ControlPoint will not prevent you from doing so. Should FrontPage
become unusable because of such, use the "Contact Us" button on the Title
Bar to request system support.
IMPORTANT: It is recommended that you
do not simultaneously use FTP and FrontPage 2000. Such interaction may render
FrontPage unusable.
